Training Programmes offered at NIRB (on campus and off campus):

NIRB conducts on Campus as also Off-Campus (client institution location) training programmes.

Facilities exist to simultaneously hold two channels of programmes at our Campus. At the beginning of each year a calendar of programmes is drawn up and circulated to all banking institutions across the country. Individual programme announcement letter is separately sent well before the scheduled dates, seeking nominations on first come first serve basis.

On specific request from RRBs or any Institution, subject to some terms/conditions and our convenience, we undertake off campus programmes also. The sponsoring Organisation should agree to provide necessary infrastructure support and related arrangements, such as stay and travel facility etc for faculty.

Broad categories of Programmes, covering a wide spectrum of banking activities / operations are as follows.

1. Management Development / Corporate Governance Programmes-- for the Non Officials (Directors) of Coop. Banks, Officials of other client banks/institutions, at various levels
2. Comprehensive Programmes on effective Financial Management, Investment Management, Integrated Risk Management, Asset Management, NPA management, Profitability Analysis – Break Even & Viability study, Modern Banking Practices, Products & Services for R.R.Bs & Cooperatives and Commercial Banks
3. Technical courses like Appraisal of Agricultural and Rural Development Projects; Financing High-tech Agricultural Projects; Financing Rural Non-farm Sector; Financing Agro Processing and Agri. exports; Financing Dry Land Farming and Water Sheds; Financing Rural Housing
4. Human Resources Development and Management say, Managerial Effectiveness, Effective HRM, Effective Communication & Interpersonal relationship
5. Other Programmes like Corporate Governance; Development Action Plans for Cooperatives, Technology up gradation and MIS; Best Practices & Role Models (for RRBs); Know your Customer and Anti Money Laundering, Business Development & Customers Service.
